. The second installment of the foundational sequence is a continuation and expansion upon the previous semester’s course, Problem Discovery. Course time is spent working within groups on the exploration of presented problems and the generation and analysis of solutions to those issues. Students will research historically effective solutions, address what makes solutions effective, and develop solutions for challenges of every size and scope. Students will be attentive to solution constraints and the necessary persons, groups, and other resources required for effective action.
This course places emphasis on the pragmatic treatment of issues in a realistic environment, the development of communication and technical writing skills, and the understanding and utilization of available resources.
